Karrimor KSB Kinder Walking Boots

Are The Budget Karrimor KSB Kinder Walking Boots Reliable Enough?

Karrimor Mens KSB Kinder Walking BootsWhen you look at the photos of the Karrimor KSB Kinder Walking Boots in listings online, there isn’t much to suggest any wow factor.

But, that is part of the appeal. This is a budget model – well under three figures – that offers a classic shape and neutral design.

There are claims about comfort and weatherproofing, but nothing extreme. So, does this boot do enough?

The Pros and Cons of these Karrimor Mens KSB Kinder Walking Boots

Pros:

  •  They seem to be comfortable enough for regular use when you get the right size
  •  There are some features to help with bad weather and difficult conditions.
  •  The neutral design is one that a lot of walkers will appreciate

Cons:

  •  There is an understandable cheaper feel to this boot that could let it down
  •  Some sizing issues to be aware of

The look and build of the Karrimor KSB Kinder Walking Boots are pretty straightforward to appeal to a wide range of walkers.

Because this is a budget shoe, you aren’t going to get the same high-end features in this model for the best performance. But, there are still plenty of helpful elements to these Karrimor walking boots to ensure that walkers can head out on long-distance walks in comfort.

The uppers may not be “leather”, but they do add to the security of this lace-up model. They also look good in the neutral tone. The dual-density midsole and 1cm heel help too.

As for the protective elements of this shoe for use in bad weather, there are two standout features. The first is the Dynagrip sole for wet or loose surfaces.

While it isn’t a Vibram, it seems to do a good job. Then there is the Xtreme waterproof membrane to keep out the rain. Both features seem to do a good enough job at protecting walkers when needed.

The problem is that the cheaper materials of the Karrimor KSB Kinder Hiking Boots mean it isn’t going to last as long.

Durability is going to be an issue long-term here. There are comments about the soles wearing out quicker than on other shoes used in the past.

But, this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise given the price. There are also comments about replacing the laces with something better.

Otherwise, the negative comments tend to relate to the sizing. Some users have struggled with the tightness and needed a wider fit.

Should you still try these Karrimor Weatherproof Walking Boots?

It would be easy to dismiss this shoe because of the complaints about the longevity and the lower-grade features. However, the other argument here is that this is a true budget shoe where you can get just what you need – nothing extra – at a good price.

With the right size and some new laces, users can’t complain too much when wearing these. Therefore, the Karrimor walking boots could end up seeing you through more than a few decent walks across a season without you spending a fortune.
