Berghaus SupaLite II GTX Walking Boots Reviews
What benefits can the Brasher walking boots offer to hikers?
The GORE-TEX lining is arguably the most eye-catching aspect of this product because of its numerous properties and many user reviews highlight its performance.
The comfort and weatherproofing provided are commonly mentioned with users claiming they have been able to walk long distances and through water without any leaks or discomfort.
Occasionally, some walkers have experienced blisters as the boots have been broken in but generally they feel light, soft and comfortable enough to wear for miles. This light weight is another feature that users feel helps these Berghaus/Brasher hiking shoes stand out over previous purchases and they have also been praised for their performance on uneven terrain.
Are there any flaws with these Brasher SupaLite Walking Boots that buyers should be aware of?
The interesting thing about these boots it that although they do come in for criticism, these negative comments centre almost entirely on the durability of the materials and parts.
When you are paying such a high price for a pair of walking boots you expect them to last for a long time and to be able to stand up to all conditions; however, the Brasher walking boots have a tendency to wear easily.
This is particularly true of the soft leather on top, which gets torn and scuffed far too easily, the soles, which can come unstuck and ruin the waterproofing, and the laces.
Overall, Most Customers were Happy about their Purchase
The issue of durability and the life of these shoes leads many buyers to question whether these boots are value for money. These are high-end boots with a price tag to match and, for some buyers, the fact that they need repairs and replacements means they are overpriced.
The value of these boots depends on your needs; if you have no concern over aesthetics and are prepared to patch them up then these boot could be the ideal footwear for your long hiking trips.
The Brasher SupaLite II GTX Mens Walking Boots may not look pretty after a few uses but they do have a lot of other benefits and the lightweight, weatherproofing and comfort over long miles easily make them a worthwhile, recommendable purchase for the right owner.

I have worn 3 pairs of ladies Brasher Hillmaster boots and all of them have cracked and split on the foot crease lines after many years of wear. They were however lighter and more comfortable than my Meindl boots which have also worn out but only after 10 years of heavy duty mud etc. SoI have decided to invest in the new Berghaus version which is a slighter neater design and fewer seams to crack and Im hoping that being all leather inside and out that they will be just as comfortable in the warmer weather.
My only issue is that the new design is not so padded around the cuff and being leather it has created a blister on the back of my heel around the achilles tendon so i need to choose very well padded socks and use a blister polymer cream or use a compeed plaster. In time my heels will toughen up but any cuffed boot design may aggravate this region of the foot depending on how vulnerable your feet are to chafing and irritation from wool composition socks.
Otherwise the level of foot comfort is superb and the sole is cushioned to ease any arthritis twinges.
